“Cats And The City”: Russian Artist Imagines A World Where Humans Live Among Giant Cats

Andrey Scherbak is a creative director of the Moscow advertising agency. It will probably take you a few seconds to understand that the photos there are not quite ordinary. On them Andrey and cats, who are several times larger than him, against the background of urban and not very urban landscapes.

As Andrey writes under one of the photos – a photo with cats is a kind of communication with the world around him. This allows us to bridge the gap between his total isolation from childhood and the outside world with other people.

Cats are waiting for Andrey everywhere: they climb out of numerous arches, fly and fight in the background, do sports, go, lie and stand next to him, look out from under the stairs and from under the corners and even do obscene things right on the bridge!
